The Papercut Medina nikah contract is the very first of its kind and a vision to behold. Meticulously crafted, it exudes timeless beauty. Rooted in the traditional Islamic art of papercutting, known as 'kati', its intricate design captivates the eye.

This contract is printed by hand with the couple's name and wedding dates. The Qur'an and dua on the top and bottom are pressed in gold-tinted foil.

We are able to provide such an intricate design due to laser cut machine technology, but the text is still applied by hand, giving the piece an antique feel.

Personalization: This contract allows for personalization. A proof will be sent before printing, with a limit of three rounds of editing to the proof.

This contract acts a cover page for a full marriage contract. With the purchase of each nikahnama comes a digitally-sent full 4-page Islamic marriage contract that the couple may choose to use or to amend to their liking.

The History of Kati’, Islamic Papercut Art

The earliest examples of Islamic papercut art, known as "kati" in Turkish, can be traced back to intricately carved leather book covers. As the art form evolved, it found expression in manuscript decorations, page borders, and intricate motifs adorning various Islamic artworks. Notably, the art flourished during the Safavid and Ottoman periods, with esteemed artists like Abdullah Kaatı and Efşancı Mehmet contributing to its refinement and popularity. Their masterpieces, ranging from carved script to elaborate nature scenes, continue to captivate audiences today.

At the time of ordering, you must fill out your preferred language, your nikah details (names, dates, location), as well as your signature line preferences.

You may view our current text options here. If you need to customize your text, please contact us. (Please note: all of our fill-in designs are pre-printed with the 'Nikah 2' text, which cannot be changed.)

All of our Qur'an verses on our site are interchangeable, you can just message us if you'd like a different Qur'an verse!

    Many of our contracts allow for personalization. A proof will be sent a few days after you order, with a limit of three rounds of editing to the proof. We do not print any nikahnamas until the proof is approved.

    Shipping can take 1-8 weeks depending on the nikahnama design you choose, your location, and whether you choose to exepdite your order. Please view our shipping page for more details. If interested in a rush delivery, please contact us, and we may be able to accommodate for an additional cost.

    • İstenmeyen hıçkırıkları önlemek için tüm imza sahiplerinin imzalarını seçtiğiniz kalemle imzalama pratiği yapması için fazladan bir karton kağıt yaprağı bulundurun.
    • İpucu: Düğün gününüzde nikahnamenizi bir çerçeve içinde tutmayı seçerseniz, ya bardağı evde bırakın ya da mürekkebi kuruduktan sonra nikahnamenizi bardağın altına geri koymayı bekleyin. Yapmak isteyeceğiniz son şey mürekkebi bulaştırmak.
